Making Cookies

Alex has been asking me to make cookies for a while so the other day we did it.

He LOVES to play in the flour, like any kid, so I just give him his own bowl and flour and he has a blast, and of course flour gets EVERYWHERE. But it's okay.....he had fun.

This is the result....flour got a little out of control.

All over the floor too. I got the vacuum out and set him to work cleaning up his own mess.

Alex being a boy this is what happens when you give him the vacuum....goofball. But he had fun and helped clean up AND the cookies turned out great!!!

Geocaching

Uncle Charlie got the boys a Geocache Jr. for Xmas and we've been using it quite a bit. Unfortunately we are not the best geocachers. We've looked for at least 10 or more treasures and only found 2. Guess we need to improve our skills.

Alex and I set off by the canal in North Ogden to treasure hunt.

We saw this little guy along the way. I'm not really sure what he is, a donkey??? He sure is furry.

These were his friends

For some reason when we go geocaching we keep coming across Bee Boxes...not my most favorite find I gotta tell you. Look at all of them!!!

The treasure was some where really close to those Bee Boxes and it was super hot, after being chased by some bees and Alex not too impressed by that we decided to give up and move on...

We went to this park in North Ogden, which also has another treasure, but Alex found a couple of playgrounds that were lots more fun.

No fear Alex....he's so excited he can climb over this all by himself.

It was a pretty hot day, and we didn't find any treasures but we still had fun on our adventures.

4th of July 2011

I LOVE the 4th of July!!!
We of course had to go to the parade. North Ogden's and it was packed, but the boys had fun.

We had a nice BBQ with our good friends, Ken BBQ'd some wonderful pork butt and we ate our hearts content on some pulled pork sandwiches.

Then it was time for some fireworks!! Our house is in a perfect spot for the fireworks, we can see the big show from our front yard so we just hang out there and of course light off some of our own too.

Alex and Karsen

They are buds....well when they aren't fighting like brother and sister hahaha.

Our goods!!

Karsen giving Alex a ride on her scooter.

Alex with his Auntie Nel and Karsen.

It turned out to be a great night. A bunch of the neighbors ended up in our yard and we all set off fireworks together and had a great time. It was a completely unplanned get together but it was so nice. I love our neighbors!!! We have a great street.

July 3rd

We didn't have any big plans for the 3rd, but we made the best of the day...

Started off the morning with some crafts....yes, i still get my craft on, and most of the time the boys like to join in. I had to finish up my 4th of July blocks (yes i know it's last minute) so the boys both found something they wanted to paint too.

Alex with his big super hero pictures to color....really would you expect anything else.

And Braxton with a wooden dinosaur.

And here's my little superhero himself.....after crafts he had to put on a few superhero suits....i mean some times you just get the urge right???

In the afternoon it was just me and Alex, Ken had to work and Braxton went with his Mom. We decided to go out front in the shade and build some race tracks. Alex was racing the race cars.

Alex being a goofball....up close in the camera. Too cute.

Even Blackjack came out front to hang out with us.
