Bear Lake 2012

Our second trip was to Bear Lake Utah...I haven't been there in 10yrs!! It is SOOO beautiful! I honestly could live there in a heartbeat.

The kids love playing on the shore.

This beach wasn't the picture perfect sand beach but i still absolutely loved it.

Ken is wearing gloves because he's setting up the sewer hose...he's not that weird. lol

Braxton in his prime

Whopper's 2nd camping trip...he loved the beach too!!

This dog loves to bring his face in the ground, and then roll all over.

Bear Lake is pretty shallow for a ways out. They had these little yellow ball buoys that the boys wanted to walk out and touch. At first Alex was nervous and needed Dad's help

Then he went out all by himself!!

Playing some cards

Me and Alex were tuckered out!!! Love nap time.

We drove through Paris, Idaho. I never even knew there was such a place, which doesn't surprise me really, we passed it in a blink.
We took an adventure and went to Minnetonka Caves one day...VERY cool . It was a guided tour down into a cave about 1500ft. While waiting for our tour me and the boy read about the cave. There are bats in there but we didn't see any...which was good, Alex was VERY nervous about bats.

There were little chipmunks hanging out around were the tours grouped up. One even jumped right up on my foot, and yes i totally screamed!!

The campsites were pretty dry, but that was okay...it's Utah.

These pictures are out of order...this was us leaving on the drive down there..the boys were so excited

Serious Ken

The first thing we did after setting up camp was go get one of Bear Lake's famous Raspberry Shakes!! SOOO yummy

Alex got a root beer float....he LOVES them.

Alex had a bad crash on his bike on the paved road...got pretty bad road rash on his knee and elbow. Woo wee, he was not a happy camper for a while there. Lucky for us Ken brought a well stocked first aid kit.

We had to have some chocolate to make it feel better.

The next morning the first thing Alex wanted to do was go ride his bike...i was so proud of him, he wasn't scared at all. Look how tough he looks with his war wounds.

Alex's wounds scarred up fast which was great. Then he was able to get in the water and it didn't hurt. What a tough little guy.

We had a great time. None of us wanted to come home yet.
