We made a trip to Pismo Beach Calif again this year to spend some time with Ken's family. This was our second year in a row. Ken's parents have a camper trailer and we stayed with them. Ken's cousin Liz and her family also went the same time this year and his Uncle Stan with his trailer. Ken's brother Charlie and his girlfriend Kat also came...so we had lots of family this year, it was so nice.
Last year Ken's parents set up a treasure chest hunt for the boys and it was a blast so they decided to do it again this year. They start off with a map ...... the boys cousins Jessie and Megan showed the boys that they found an old bottle and it looked like there was a map inside.....

They followed their map to the X and unburied the treasure! Luck had it that there were TWO treasure chests exactly the same!!! What awesome pirates to leave two.
Uncle Charlie was into just as much as the boys. The pirates left some of their clothes and hats, the boys were in heaven with that part!
And they are off with their loot
back at camp they checked out all their findings. Lots of rocks, coins, and even some rock candy and gems!!
